Why does it still show my own posts as new posts and remains that way until I go back to that thread and refresh the page?

yeah that happens with my posts too sometimes, but usually not.

Yeah no big deal but it's weird when you come to the main forum page and you think someone just responded to your thread, until you look to the right and see that it's your post.

I'm not sure what's causing this. I will look into it but it's probably a bug in the forum software we're using.

Yup, it's definitely a forum software bug, it often doesn't refresh properly what's keeping record of which threads you have visited or posted in whenever it was opened in a new window, amongst other things.

Can't say it's bothering me too much, but at times it's definitely a bit annoying when it indicates a new post has been made when all that's new is your own freaking post hehehehe...
