hell I say for this time (again, i'm not a mod or anybody really) just allow all SP function (pitch/timestretch) , as usual final mastering can be done on PC/outboard gear.

Still all chops/sequencing/sampling/arranging/effects done in the SP is the main focus. And the one take deal on recording, no splicing together your best bits.

i'm not familiar with the one take rule, are you saying that the song has to be done in one take? all my entries have been done using the sequencer, and fine tuning it. is this a new rule?

i think he meant that you can't rearrange the finished beat once it has been recorded. for example, recording your beat into audacity and then using audacity to cut out and splice together certain parts. i think you can splice, rearrange, fine tune whatever within the SP.

^ this ... anything on SP is fair game, but you can't rearrange / copy/paste / splice stuff in your wave editor / mastering program later.

Not gonna lie. Having a tough time on this one. Main problem is the drums and getting em to bang as much as I want em to. In general thats a cool break, but it'll take some work to get em knocking and snapping enough.
