Please Help! Bad flash card or Bad SP 555?

Hello,
I dont think my sp 555 is formating my flash card. I followed the directions in the manual exactly. When I pressed the del button on the sampler the little dot on the led screen just flashed once, not several times. At first I didnt think anything of it untill I tried sample on to bank c. Again I followed the steps in the manual for sampling. I presed sample, and then pressed bank c. None of the pads nor the bank light up. So Is it my compact flash card, or is it the sampler that is bad?

Please help, im thinking that I need to send this sampler back and ask for another one or my money back.

Make sure that your flash card is no more than 2Gbs of memory. That is the best that I can tell you,i,m new at this and I got my SP 555 10 days ago and. I hope that will work for you.

Hey BMMaguire - wondered whether you had solved this problem as I'm having exactly the same problem with my new Sandisk CF card.
