It's a thing. How do you use it? Complaints? Praises? Just getting the ball rolling. What's on your mind with regards to soundcloud.

It's a nice outlet but I preferred myspace before it got all spammed out of control.
Myspace kind of had that homie feel to it. Like you could creep customized pages and pictures/ART while listening to peoples music.

I dig it. It's a great way to network and get your music out there. I'm amazed at the listens I get and where they're from. everyone here needs to follow Beat-tape

I like it. Really simple and minimal design and it's easy to share and connect with other people.

Like Amable said I like the networking aspect too.

AWESOME! it's an easy way for people to share music, just music, it isn't clouded by tons of peripheral things. they also can record music directly too, and show a waveform display. vloud.com is also another cool little site that can simply make recordings louder, if need be, which is usually my problem. audio isn't disturbed, just made louder :D

Not a fan of soundcloud. I'm actually pretty sick of lots of internet places requiring separate logins and shit. Like...I probably have more fucking 'memberships' to websites than should be humanly possible (mostly because nowdays to even apply to jobs online, you have to create a profile).

It offers a decent service, but for my uses, it's inadequate. About the only cool thing it has is timestamp comments.

i'm not on it.
i don't like the fact that you cannot hide the wave of the track so you haven't a "surprise" on the listen.
in an other way, if you're in a "social network point of view", maybe it's a cool site.

Its interesting, it does what myspace sucked at & builds on where myspace got it right. Ie social networking without shit tons of spam & desperate 'LOOK AT ME I'M COOL' weirdos. Plus the media player on Soundcloud always works & streams fast.

ive used it for years now... i love/hate it... before they re evaluated the membership features you could make as many groups, submit as many tracks to groups and edit your tracks like instead of posting up a new version and labeling it "version 2" you could send out a message saying that you posted a new version and blah blah blah.

the editing part kinda pissed me off cuz you now have to kick 50 bucks for that one helpful feature...

there was alot you got years ago from them... but now it's kinda touchy...

I'm on it too. I can't put my finger on it, but there is just something about it that just doesn't sit well with me..can't figure out what it is. It's a tool I guess. I'm putting out an EP later this year, and I think I'm going to make the move over to Bandcamp.

I miss MySpace music.
