Hey guys my birthday is coming up next month and I been thinking about buying myself a new toy.

Been looking mainly at eps 16+ or asr 10.
So eps kinda looks like a cheaper form of the asr 10...16 bit on both right?
Anyways I can get an eps for $200 with case or a asr for $400 with sound disk library ...I can put the asr on layway I guess until my b day.
But I wanna avoid selling my mpc..I don't even use it anymore tho. All 505.

Just wanna hear ur thoughts and any experience.

They save on floppy disks right?
Maybe I'm just gear lusting....

How's the sound on that thing...saw one of those for $100 but wasnt the pro
Would like that one too but I think I need more of a keyboard instead of another straight drum machine sampler.

Saw the 13 bit eps but no effects...like the 16+

What do u mean by "hxc you can put on card"...like compact flash card?

Used to have an eps16, kind of a waste of space. I would rather have a microsampler. Can do way more way smaller and works with a computer.

Yeah I'm staying away from computers when it comes to making beats. Too easy and too much stuff goin on.

Anyone got beats made with eps/asr?

Thanks for replies guys..

I use the ASR-10 and EPS 16+. I also have owned the ASR-X Pro and learned on and EPS Classic. My favorite manufacturer. The EPS 16+ and ASR-10 are very solid workstations.

My EPS 16+ burnt out so the next best thing is to use the EPS Classic along with the 303. I can use the 303 as an effects unit and resampler. A pretty efficient combo.

When I had my ASR-10, I had the menus down so well, I could scream through putting a sequence together. It was like second nature to me...

When I left Ensoniq behind once and for all, I had to re-learn the art of putting sequences together! I miss my ASR.
