I'm having trouble importing samples onto my 606. What format do they have to be saved in? I've tried .wav and .mp3, and can't get it to work. Every time i try to import, the files show up on the screen, but it says "format not supported". I see something about AIFF files in the manual, but can't find how to convert to this type of file. Does anyone have any suggestions?
AIFF is the mac equal of mp3 file compression. The format has to be 16bit 44.1khz and either mp3 or AIFF. Make sure they are in the root folder of the compact flash card and are all named they way they tell you to name them in manual.
Still no luck. My samples are 16bit and 44.1kHz. I can get them to show up on the 606's screen as .wav files, but when i try to import them, it tells me that it is "Not Supported Format!". Anything else i might be able to try?
There are actually many wav types. I use Cool Edit Pro, and I save my wavs as Windows PCM wav. You can try a different program, open your files, and save them as wav. I have had similar problems, and since I used CEP, the problems ceased. Hope the same for you...
