Resample multiple pads (ghetto sequencing) on 505

I'm sure this has been covered but i didn't see it in my quick search and don't have a 505 in front of me.

Can you resample your playing (example, hitting pads for a drum beat) to one pad ? I know you can't do it with running patterns, but I was hoping to do some non quantized playing of multiple pads to one pad to save voices/ improve workflow.

Also, can the metronome be playing while you resample? (i'm afraid this will be no...)

Maybe I've been leaving "Auto" on during resampling which is for one pad and preserving the start/end points?

you can resample to one pad, i'm sure, also if you push pads from different banks: for example if you choose pad1 from bank5 like "destination pad", then resample a pad performance from bank6 etc

unfortunately the metronome is heard only when recording patterns (sp606 can do what you 're searching-maybe sp555 too?-); maybe tr to use external metronome (obvious advice )

You can resample two pads into one on the 505 and on the 606 you can resample four pads into one.

I've resampled my finger drumming onto pad before. Helps to have something that the 505 can't 'hear' to give you a metronome to play to.

Ye-ye-ye-yeah, you can perform with the pads on either machine. Eats up memory though but yes you can.

I was thinking of short samples and combining them.
