External resampling

Post by BOLO YEUNG »

yo do you guys know of any other samplers (preferably SP) wher u can can resample external shit like on the 303?
so you could for example have a drumloop playing and then play live synth shit on top?
any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.
thanks..

That feature appears to be exclusive to the 303 in the SP family.

I'd look into a MicroSampler.

Are you talking about playing a sample (drum loop) while you resample something from an external source (the synth)? B/C you can't do that on the 404, which is a major drawback.

What you're asking can be done in any Daw or hardware multitrack recorder

a fairly simple loop pedal included with a 404 could be great for this, especially for live performances, but there are probably better options available

Resampling & layering sounds is pretty much what samplers are designed to do. Fair question though, considering the method Bolo described.

Bolo- If you want to have a blow-by-blow description on how to do this, which SP are you using?
