Question about ripping vinyl collection using 404sx

So i got some nice vinyl records i want to rip the audio of but i read that the sp404sx sound is considered bright. which would make me think it isnt really a good thing to use to rip audio with.

I just wanted to use it for the convenience but the sound concerns me.

what do you guys think. Am i good to go? or should i use another method.

why don't you rip the vinyl on your computer?

the mic input on my laptop is messed up.

i wanted to sample all the songs and export them using the SD card.

ok if you don't have a soundcard...
the sound on the 404sx is linear wave(16 bit 44.1khz) so it will be allright!!

i ripped a story about the conspiracy of paul mccartney off of a tape my dad recorded off the radio in the 80s. i used my SX and the audio sounded GREAT.. i used a cheap ass boom box too that had rca outs.. the cool thing about doing it off of a record is that it would be easy to cut it at each song and have the songs on different pads or just set it and rip each side of the record to a pad and cut them up later..
