Made a beat w/out using samples,built in mic, or ext inputs

the new Roland SP-404 Synth.........


Everything heard in this beat was made utilizing the sp404,s noise generators. With the use of effects i shaped static, and bass tones, into drums, synths, and ambient sounds.

no samples, no use of built in mic, or any external input. just 404sx

Beat was inspired by the scratch perverts.

I used to be into turntablism, and i always enjoyed the "thinking outside the box" attitude that went into it. For anyone unfamiliar The scratch perverts were known for creating beats and sounds with 2 turntables and a mixer but with no records. One way they did this was by manipulating feedback from there mixer etc.

but anyway yeah the sp404sx has always given me that "think outside the box feel" which is why i like it.

I have friends / seen groups do this kind of thing with mixing desks, too. That can get out a control pretty quick.
