Sp606 compatible with iPad?

Post by Lezlie »

Long time since I've been here, haven't used the 606 that much lately. I just recently bought an iPad, and want to use it with the 606. Is it compatible with Core midi? I would love to use the 606 as a sound card for the iPad

if you wanna use it as an audio interface it will go through CoreAudio not CoreMidi..

Which brings me to wondering, I know it can do MIDI, but is the iPad able to run CoreAudio gear?
Samples.

Some USB audio interfaces work with the iPad. It took me a while to find one that didn't draw too much power and is also USB class compliant. The one I got is a behringer ufo202. There is also the uca202 which is the same thing but with a digital input, mine has grounds for turntables. On a side note ios5 is supposed to include more midi and audio support. With a powered USB hub my iPad has an audio interface, midi in and out, a memcard reader, a korg nanokey and a USB hard drive all working at the same time nicely together :)
