S.F. Bayview Shooting

Post by thetownie »

So has everyone heard about the 19 yr. old that was shot recently in SF? They say he fired on the cops first, but for some reason I don't believe that (but then again I wasn't there either). There are two vids that have surfaced from the incident with bystanders and everything. All you can hear are people shouting "where is his gun"?? these are people on the scene...what's your thought on this situation?

Article(s) Here

I don't know man... from the articles it sounds like the cops are just feeding bullshit to cover their asses, I didn't see anyone "pick up the gun" as they said happened... and from the view of the camera, there wasn't a big crowd right away, so even if it did fly 15 feet in front of him, who went and grabbed it without the cops seeing?

It's always really disturbing when cops use their force when it's not needed just because they think they are in the right. They think their badge enables them to make the best decisions for the world, but they're wrong. We'll see what happens as more evidence surfaces... fuck guns.

Right. I really have a hard time believeing the "he shot first argument".. where was the gun? and if he did have one I find it hard to believe that nobody in that crowd saw it being picked up.

I hate seeing stuff like this, granted even if he was running from the cops..there was no need to kill the man..like how do you make that call? another issue I had was...ok, dude is on the ground bleeding and you still got your guns drawn??? can we get an ambulance on the spot or something??

Ya man there were not really that many people around in the first video, and another 2 cop cars showed up before any ambulance, and the cops didn't go up to him to check on him until it seemed like he had totally died. If he had indeed shot at them, they still should have seen that he wasn't trying to go out with a bang or anything. He was lifting himself up making it pretty damn clear he wasn't trying anything.. and they just stand there with their guns drawn. Like... one can walk in slowly as the other keeps watch for any weird movements, but cops are just too excited to get to use their gun. It really makes us question how just our system of justice really is.

Yeah I saw him lifting up till he ultimately dies.. what happened to tasers?? If a guy is running from you to avoid paying bus fare..that seems like a tasing situation to me..not a murder

yeah it's sad how it happened... theres a story going around saying that he was wanted for murder himself BUT... they wont release his name... seeing as how anything can be found on the net i would kinda lean towards these accusations as being false. if he did kill someone then whats the harm in releasing his name if you caught the culprit?

he's not a minor

he's supposedly had a gun... so why not release his name...

my thoughts are that he was a suspect without enough evidence... so this could possibly play out like cops would love cuz they can put the blame on him...

i hate this type of shit cuz it always takes me back to what happened to me and it's usually excessive force without reason that cops abide by... a.k.a probable cause

Well they released the name of the victim, and he has a history of crime such as trying to force a 14-year old into prostitution, robbery, and something else I forget... so I feel like the cops will get away with this regardless of what comes up. And now they say that "tips" led them to a house where they found the gun they think is his... how the hell would that happen? It's looking bad for true justice, the cops are going to play it off like they did the world a better thing no matter what.

wow didnt know they'd done that... im all for catching a truly bad person not some $2 turnstyle jumping kid... if he was like that then the ish should've been handled better... who knows what else he may have done but they can't find that out any longer... this wasn't justice done in any way. it was barbaric.. n you are more than right... they will shout that they did the world a favor...

You sound more like a new age conscious person than an emo vegan, and although I feel like we are trying to enter the age of light and truth, something tells me it is going to be a rough road. People don't realize how much control and information the government and it's bodying forces have that we just really don't know. With the internet it is much easier to find out about corrupt and wrong happening within these bodies, but still even when these things are brought to light, it's not all that often that justice is truly served.

The cops really begin to look like our enemies whenever a group of people show up. They never really explain themselves, they don't reason with you, they just whip out their power (weapons) and show you that if you fuck with them, you will be beaten and prosecuted. People try to take a stand and let the cops know that they are wrong, but I feel as if the cops have practically been brainwashed into thinking they are in the right all the time. They go back to the station and their chief convinces them that what they do is right, because they used their best judgement and kept the situation "under control". Cases of people getting hit with tazers, batons, and bullets are all too common especially in this day and age, and even when there is some "justice", in most cases the people at fault continue to hold their position and get let off with a slap on the wrist.

Did you guys see what happened at the Pete Rock show a couple weeks ago?

Yeah that shit right there was wild.. and the original "fight" outside the show had nothing to do with the concert. They were in front of a black hip hop show, that's where the issue arose ... "Because, hip hop, black people and crime are all one in the same - so were just gonna bring them all in". Can you say christmas bonus?

It's pathetic, everyone i've seen interviewed says the same thing..the show was chill, there hadn't been any fights..everbody was getting along rosie dosie..here they come..smh.. i said it before and i'll say it again ..hip hop does not mean violence.

It's same thing with Obama inviting common to white house. Media stating that the president invited this gangsta rapper to white house...Common? Gangsta rap? are you serious? stfu

If he shot at the cops, where did his bullet go. Its kinda fucked up to see a dude lying on the sidewalk dying with a bunch of cops around him just watching. Cops can shoot to disable. If the kid shot first then i totally understand because a mother fucker shoot at me, im shooting to kill. But i aint a fucking cop. And my aim is pretty bad so im hoping to hit something. But no one around that entire area saw a gun, just a kid bleeding on the ground with bullet holes in his BACK! I guess cops dont give chase anymore like in New Jersey Drive and all those other early 90's hood movies.
Thats why im happy to not be one of those dudes who just get into it with cops. My boy is like that, just yelling at cops who just tell us we cant stand somewhere. Fucked up thing is that they do have the power an anyone who thinks otherwise is a fucking dickhead. I spent a few days in jail because of a cops word over mine. So i avoid em like HIV. And the worst is yet to come. In 10 years imagine the new for of justice they will be implementing. We are moving towards something similair to Judge Dredd.
