What's up everyone, Im thinking of breaking my 8800 back out and working on it some more. My data wheel still sticks / mis-behaves, I blew air in there and looked in it for funk, I did not see any. I want to use the wheel and it is incredibly annoying. Have any of you replaced yours? I cant even find the part online. I dont want to tear it apart to get the part number. Do you guys know where to get the part? Could I call roland?
Thanks

Re: Data wheel
What u needa do is find out what type encoder it is (A or B I think), the shaft length, what kinda bottom it has on it where it connects to the board (vertical pins or horizontal pins) and remember whether its a clicky one or a non-clicky one (mechanical or optical)
Then you can buy any encoder that fits that spec from mouser or another electronic parts place something like that..
Probs best to just give roland a call and see if they can sort it out, but if u wanna save a few bucks u can do it

Re: Data wheel
To my knowledge, the jog-wheel is the same on the 505 and 606.
