I gotta quit using the cool edit default compressor preset, anyone know anygood compressors or vocal compression techniqiues

vinyl sim or mfx 12! for real i've done like 3 joints using sp compression and it sounds as good as anything imo...you can also use the sp for reverb and delay with the vocals.if you heard the song i did on elhuanas album (alive)-i sampled the vocal into the sp then added compression and delay,just experimenting-and it came out sounding as good as anything else on the album,and i'm pretty sure everyone else used computers,etc.give it a try,its fun.

yeah i like recording with mfx12 then adding some reverb, just make sure your not around anything that hums like a fan, the compressor will pick it up when your not putting vocals thru

i usually have a fan blasting so that much power doesnt work, unless i turn my fans off but its a heat wave
