SYNTHCREEPIN.

I love the whole Juno series (wellll... up until the latest remakes) but for the 80's sound you're looking for a Poly 61 is probably the best of the two.

Yeah no doubt, vintage synths are the jam. Curious to hear what you make with either of them. You got a specific project sound in mind or is it an addition to the studio stable?

Ah I only have a Roland SH 101 with me but it's tits. Back home I've got a Sequential Circuits Pro One which I love to death and I'll probably have buried with me.

I want a nice glassy 80's synth (like Yamaha DX7) soon but NI FM8 does the job since I have limited space atm.

i have a juno 106 wich i firstly purchased for some sort of boards of canada sounds, but then i understood that you can do many things with (acid sounds, percussive sounds etc), is like (also) a sort of easy introduction to the world of synthesis.
the korg poli series is awesome anyway! i think the "glo fi" scenes (neon indian, washed out etc) uses it very much. but -another consideration- maybe the microkorg it's a good (in sound) alternative to it.
the dx serie from yamaha is very cool to if you lookin for that type of sounds. i have the txz81 rack from them wih is a (very cheap, but really cool) expander version of that sounds; but as i said it's not a real synth but an expander...

Junos also do wicked bass!

Plus one on the Yamaha DX series, and on the software side (blech?) NI's FM8 is like 20 DX7's inside your computer. Way ill.
