I think it sounds amazing sonically! I like how it pumps the raps down a bit. I like the whole mix to swell personally. Like on a Kanye record they want it mixed like a pop record but on the indie lo fi chill wave hip hop scene I thinks its cool to do extreme compression tactics. I would love to hear a madlib and kanye track but instead of madlib mailing him the beat, kanye goes to madlibs lab and the record the vox though vinyl sim.

nice mix idea, the tempo change is amazing and fresh.
globally it sounds like daft punk or todd edwards on cut up some basses and vocals; the compression is cool (maybe sometimes a little too much but i'm listen on monitor headphones).

ella, thanks - you got it. I am aiming to combine two of my favorite sounds - the "french touch" with the "LA beat scene" looseness. I haven't quite found a ways to do it in a good way. but its good that you recognize what I am aiming for. Makes my day - thanks dude!
