Is it like the new measure of success or something to have your own headphones lol? I really love RZA but I don't see myself buying into that. It's cool and I want him to get money but Dre really turned me off from artist inspired gadgetry. Unless they are really like innovative or something... which I guess RZA's are since they have LEDs that flash along to the beat lol.
maybe if those shades weren't so dark he'd know he was playing chess by himself.
yeah, the brand extension thing seems so unnecessary for a guy like RZA. i don't think it is giving dre any cred (though i doubt it is about getting cred), and it feels like its been done awready.
I tried a set of someone's Dre cans, they sounded really nice and felt good on my ears too but nowhere near good enough to justify price tag. £400+ for what are basically consumer headphones? I listen to music on my 7506s, same thing I use for monitoring when I'm making music, you could buy about four sets of these for the price of one set of Beats, or you could even get some entry level monitors.
That being said, I would like some consumer level cans to take out with me, walking to the bus stop with monitoring headphones just doesn't feel right to me. I will check out RZA's, if they sound as good as Dre's and are a lot less in price then I would definitely buy some.
