You can get specific notes to play specific pads, but I'll have to check the manual to see how it's done (I just use the defualts myself). 8)

cool, many thanks! I have checked the manual book, but haven't found that yet :?
I have the drivers from the website, and its working great - I hope I can get the cds from Roland at all - the guy who I bought it from, also tried to have P606 from different sources, but by the time he sold it, haven't had it:)

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm having the exact same problem. Did you ever manage to get it working on your laptop? I'm asking because I only have one PC... and I want it to work on that one... somehow. :(

Naw.. Never got it to work.. I was told I would need to Re-install windows to wipe out the USB sockets.. However I just bought a $30 USB midi controller and it works fine.. Here is a blurb from a previous post that someone else had the same problem..

Thanks for your fast and useful reply Twitch, I really appreciate it. :)
I guess I'm going to try to uninstall some more, but deinstalling other MIDI devices don't quite solve anything since I'm going to use the SP-606 in conjunction with those other devices... Hopefully it'll all be fine when I install the SP-606 first then. It's worth a try since it still beats the extreme hassle of reinstalling Windows!
