Re: POLL: Open Challenge SPORTS EDITION
this was a fun battle, as usual never know what to expect. my vote goes to....llll, the track was a great hip hop song and had a nice flow, plus i dug that he sampled sports (a great album), it would have been nice if the track was twice as long though, it had the energy to finish multiple laps.
ellaguru- an awesome DnB track, very close 2nd
teewok- awesome 80's sound dudester, makes me wanna watch caddyshack and wear neon glasses
gis_sweden- he is the ambient master, always a quality sound too
oaxaca- nice smooth bass
jakdarabid- creative sampling, cool chillin' beat
count sierackula- fresh beat goin old-school

Re: POLL: Open Challenge SPORTS EDITION
Yo... I thought this was a great theme for a challenge, and it was just that... a challenge. Kindof brought me out of my normal creative process. I ended up having a lot of fun with this one, and I think that everyone who had the steel to meet the challenge did a great job with it.
Teewok – Dope beat, dope song composition, nice drums.
Sleepy Eyes - I like the way the beat drops after the intro. Cool bassline. You pulled some good sounds out.
Ellaguru - Nice uptempo feel. Great drums... sick bass as well. Nice panning on drums, and cool treatment on the vocals. I can imagine a pretty intense video to accompany this track.
Gis_Sweden - Interesting direction to take this in. Nice sound collage... great atmosphere. Feels like a scene from a movie. My dog just heard someone whistling on the track and started freaking out. Extra points for K-9 appeal!
IIIII - Great song. I dig the vocal... really well done, but it makes it harder for me to hear the details of the beat. Might be good to have a remix/vocal challenge where all the beats have vocals. It's difficult to judge a complete song against an instrumental. Nice track though.
Oaxaca Beats - Dope synth sounds. I like the yelling vocal sample "Science over... ". Nice cohesive track. Cool panning on the spaceship sound. Nice variation at the end as well.
DJ Mellow - Nice intro... great bassline and drums. Good groove on this track. Really clean straight-forward feel. Way to rep the 505.
JakDaRabid - Great treatment of the theme. Hittin on a lot of levels and tied together well. The percussion came out sick, and the laid back feel of the instrumental chops goes well with the zen-like perspective of the vocals.
Lots of variety, and some next-level creativity fo sho. I ended up voting for Teewok. That's the sickest video-game flip I've heard in a long-ass time. Nicely done.

Re: POLL: Open Challenge SPORTS EDITION
Guess we need to establish a clear winner here, or figure something else out. Congrats to both Teewok & IIIII for coming nice with the beats. You guys want to collab on setting up the next round?
I'll get these beats posted to the bandcamp page in the next couple days.
