Yeah not sure how resample is so different or for that matter why the metronome doesn't play during the sample record or for that matter why loop capture on the 555 doesn't capture a full loop.

But it feels so good to have loops working I don't care about the other broken stuff right now.

Loops!!

if there is sample that you cant get rid of the click it might be dc bias its not zerod so its on a different range so it clips its an interestign phenomenon, some sample rates are notorious for clipping and start and end no matter what you do, not shure what causes it, i even load it in a wave editor and zero the start and end, and even add a little bit of fade and it still clicks, not with my usb sound card , i like to mess with mono audio and shift the wave way above or below the zero line but it doesnt really change how it sounds , but the wave is complety moved up or down, this kinda stuff might get clicky but theres usually always ways around it .

The click can be a problem with these machines unless you loop in perfect time with the sample which takes patience or lots of doja. But the click usually occurs at the down beat so you can mask/duck it with a kick or bass note and some filtering. Hey, sometimes those weird clicks or mistakes become the thing that adds a certain flavor.

How do you use that software to chop samples? I thought it was only for importing/exporting samples.

You would have to chop the samples with an editing program like Audacity first, then import them onto the card.
