Hello everyone,
I'm a poor university student so I haven't really bought any gear but I do collect records as a start. I want to buy the right gear the first time so I don't have to waste money. Here is how I envision my Hip-Hop bedroom studio to be so please give me any feedback.
Equipment:
1. SP-404
2. M-Audio 2496 and Home Computer
3. Vestax Handy Trax or PT-01 (I need to find out which one sounds better)
4. Izotope Mastering Plugin
5. Audacity (Hopefully Izotope works in this program)
I would make my beats in the SP and get them sounding good, then I would 2-track it out into Audacity. Then I'd send it to my buddy who would lay a vocal down and send me it back. Then I would combine the beat and vocal into a 2-track and master it with Izotope.
I think this would be the best and cheapest way to get some knockin beats.
Is this a good recording process?

This is like my mantra for life. This is going in as one of my favorite posts on this board ever, seeing as I don't really come here to learn what I already discovered about my sp-303 I just like the peoples a lot.
