Stillmatica II

Post by a.D. »

check it..new beat..notice my epic real time effect tweaking.if u can bear it till about the 2:22 mark-you'll hear me discovering for the first time that u can turn the sp mic on while a beat is playing & record a drunk freestyle while recording in real time to your 8 track...heheheha.

listend with hifi speakers and then monitor speakers.

pro:
1)mysterical jazzy vibeeee!!!!!!!!!
2)nice warm vocals+flow
3)it swings, man, it swings!

contro:
1)the intro is a little bit long (but maybe is part of an EP or an LP so it could work as an "intro>track" so...)
2)i have the impression that the vocals got some sort of "hiss" or "souffle" or some -strange to say- "metallic taste"...not that tragic, but what mic you used and how was the mix/master process of it?

Wow the beat is hard. That sucks about Duck Down lol. You would be like the cheapest artist to keep since you can make ill tracks with just your little sp box and a mic.

Which do you like better, emceeing or making beats lol? It's really cool to be someone who can do both well.

I never even heard of Blue Scholars. I had to look on youtube lol. Filipinos are really on a mission lately lol. They aren't really my taste, but it seems they have a good following based on the youtube comments lol. That is pretty random for them to be on Duck Down. I mean no disrespect, but I hear regular, unsigned people that are more... palatable, and they sound so different than the rest of the label's roster. When I think of Duck Down, I think of a more like.. aggressive sound.

It's interesting to me though, how they did their business with the coffee people and Duck Down.
