a simple one?

hey everybody. my simple question is: has anyone figured out a way to add effects while in pattern mode? a few months back i did some digging to find out some other cool shit (ie/ the pattern copy) but my half hour of searching here at the forums didnt turn anything up.
its really frustrating to be shut down just because youve got four or five patterns to a tune and you wanna dub / sweep some shit up onstage!

Ya Ive noticed i cant even change a loop to a hit when recording a sample - ias to the aswer to your question - just press the sequence button again the sequence will not stop playing and add effects as normal
