listened to this podcast where these guys were interviewing this guy who did a bunch of music for Sega Genesis games back in the day, can't remember his name... but he was into sampling and he sampled guitar distortion and heavy metal drum sounds to do the soundtrack for 'Skitchin'...

Nice, Skitchin was a good game too. And Road Rash. My cousins and I used to play the shit out of those 2 games.

cool i always knew snes had samples because some games had a little bit of talking like street fighter and mortal kombat,
anyway i remember a few games for plain nes had samples in them too
