Disk MEdium Error?

I get the message "Disk Medium Error" on my sp 808 when i put a zip disk in, the disk clicks a few times then the message comes up, any help with this please?

hard to tell. need more info. sounds like you are putting 250 into 100 or vice versa.

nah theyre 100 meg zip disks, sometimes they work sometimes it comes up with that message, no worries though

how many zips do you have and do they all do this? do you have a way to format the disk on your computer? I have one zip that just WON'T work. but if this is happening to several disks maybe the manual again???

I see you posted this years ago.... Did you replace the Zip drive? and how did it go?

your disk crashed
happened to me a month ago, just ordered a new 5 pack of disk, problem solved.
Disk medium error means something is wrong with your disk, i even heard the last click it made before it came up disk medium error.
disk were really cheap on ebay. probably only place you will find em now.

if this happens on more than one disk, your zip drive is fried. get an IDE ATAPI zip drive off ebay (found one for $11, shipping included).
