This is a new beat made on the eve of the Celtic's unfortunate demise in the NBA playoffs [hence the title...]

I made this using a mix of gear: mostly sampled on the sp1200 then sampled back onto to the mpc; tapped out/programed on the mpc; ran mpc mix thru the sp303 vinyl sim effect to master in ableton - some limiting added.. So not strictly an SP beat but it did play a part in the process of creation

Been diggin for that one for awhile...pisces is my fav, I sampled that one too just never recorded it...

Anyways, I likes the beat, pretty simple loop, good drums, just didn't care for the bass sound..

I thought the bassline was the best part!lol..just goes to show how different people hear things differently..nice beat though man,must be crazy having that line up of gear at your disposal.

@ChicagoSPecial - Yeah that Zodiac LP is crazy psych/kitsch, i love it! Picked it up last week..

@ellaguru - My crazy cat love sleeping in my drawer while I make beats... he's kind of a co-creator haha..

@a.D. - yeah having all these samplers is definitely fun and provides a lot of different work flow/sound options... i love the sp1200 sound tho..12bit crunch does wonders on drums..

Cool beat. I like the sample for the main melody. THe drum beat is a head nodder. One shots were suitable as well.
