Two Chunes

Post by Coloreater »

Yo all. I have been listening to a lot of member's music lately and really been digging it. Forgive me for not posting more.

Here are two new-ish tracks of mine. Been pretty inspired by the Hotflush recordings lineup (Mount Kimbie, Sepalcure, etc. etc.).

Would appreciate any and all feedback.

(Remix of a friend of mine)

Nice. I liked the drum patterns on both beats.

I think i like the 2nd one best. Just fits my mood more. I got a kind of glitchy housey vibe from the first beat.

Hey thanks a lot. That first one is a remix of a friend's track, and I wanted to stick somewhat to the vibe he already had going. Thanks for the kind words all around.

Hey many thanks. I did a lot of the sketching of the song on the SP-606, but I did most of the work in fruity loops for the finished mix. I'll put everything back on the 606 so I can play it live.

Is there a certain sound you are referring to as the "kimbie drum?" because I would be more than happy to share what I'm using.

Thanks again though for sure.
