my imported wavs sound slow when i play them through the 404
when i import actual full songs on to pads on my sp-404 to play out live, the bpm of the beat sounds slower than normal. is this a common/normal bug? is there something i may be doing wrong? please help.

Hi,
The 404 doesn't have a known bug that does that.
It may be a classic case of sample-rate mismatch, probably between 48Khz and 44.1Khz. The 404 only plays 44.1. It's even possible you have been working on 44.1 audio all along when producing your songs but the system you did it on was actually playing at 48Khz. If you produce on a PC or hardware multi-track, check the sample-rate of the audio interface or recorder and also the properties of your .wav or .aif audiofiles to see if they are 44.1Khz. If you knowingly produce the original tracks at other than 44.1Khz, then run sample-rate conversion on them to 44.1Khz before importing to the 404.
