That's ignorance right there. It's ok, Kobe just made the same mistake and was fined $100,000. The fact is that the F to gays is like the N word to black people. Big no no. I understand that people use it as a curse and dont understand the significance of what they are saying, but these people are ignorant and need to learn. Like if someone pissed you off you can't just call them the N word and say oh i didn't mean it in a racist way. Same goes the the F word. This is not debatable period. I hope you can use this information to stop using the word, again I'm not judging you because a lot of people think the way you do, fact is it's wrong though and people need to be educated.

Actually, this is extremely debateable. The "f" word is in no way equivilent to the "n" word....you're talking about a word that has been used for hundreds and hundreds of years to degrade an entire race. in fact, most rational gay dudes have no problem with with the word being used in a context besides when calling someone that's gay a fag,or a faggot. I would never call even the most feminine acting annoying prtentious gay dude a fag-never. But i'll definitely call a straight dude that if he's disrespecting me,or stepping to me in any way. It's the quickest way to get under a cats skin. It's also always been a term used by friends just fucking with eachother. So yea-the word should be completely off limits when reffering to anyone homosexual-as far as a sraight dude calling another straight male one,or even a gay male calling a straight male one-which I've seen before--the majority of us,straight or gay, really don't have a problem with it. And again-as much as some homosexuals would like to compare their struggles to african americans, and black people in other parts of the world-it's just not even close to the same thing....which is why equating the "f" word with the "n" word just doesn't fly.

pretty sure that using "faggot" is all just part of their "horrorcore" style...

^^^^ haha. my point. didnt mean to offend anyone but some people need to wake up. there are people out there, not including myself, that use the "F" words, "N" words, etc. and dont think of the reprocussions. that being said, its obvious that odd future are those type of people. it conveys an emotion of sorts, like an angry word i guess. i dont think they mean to be calling out anyone whos gay. i dont think anyone who wants a future for themselves in the media would call out homosexuals like that.

a.D. hit the nail on the head.

you CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES compare the plight of gays to that of african americans -- that is just completely bat shit crazy for lack of a better term

that said...

I don't think Tyler is really homophobic. He may even be gay...who knows, right? Just like I don't believe he is a satanist or that any of the kids in the crew believe any of that sadistic crap they rap about...ITS A GIMMICK. the point is to just be as against the grain as possible. corny

It is actually not really debatable. Saying it's only wrong to call a gay guy the f word is like saying its only wrong to call a black guy the n word. When you see ignorant ass white teens calling each other the N word, black people hate that and are offended by it. My gay friends are disgusted with the casual use of the word and the fact that people still try to use your argument. I don't think saying the plight of african americans is worse is a legitimate argument, like that somehow diminishes the plight of gay people. They didn't have it as bad as blacks so it's ok to say the word faggot just doesn't add up to me.

For those not familiar 5 time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant recently called a ref the F word and got fined 100,000. He had the same idea and issued and apology saying he just meant it as a curse and it's not to be taken literally. He did his research and found out that it is a big deal and issued a better apology admitting he was ignorant(after the outrage of his weak apology). Again these are changing time, gays are currently fighting for their rights and its a slow process. I think it's ok to be ignorant as long as you shed that ignorance once you have the proper information. I really was disappointed when he made the comment, but i think he actually gets it now after talking with various gay rights organizations. Hopefully more people can learn from Kobe's mistake.

One last thing, obviously I realize they are only saying these thing for attention, especially the type of attention I'm giving them. That's why I'm just going to not give them any more attention here haha.

The nba (david stern) has also fined players for wearing their shorts too long, fined muslim players for refusing to stand during the national anthem, and for wearing "street attire" i.e. hip hop gear, so I wouldn't put too much of your argument on the shoulders of an nba fine. I knew a lot of gay dudes at one point too-one of my ex girls is bi and had mad gay male friends..which is why I know for a fact that most gay males that are comfortable with themselves & not trying to be overly p.c. really don't give too much of a fuck about the word unless it's being used in a deragatory way..that's just truth, and it's really not that big a thing except for those that choose to make it one.Obviously there are some people that feel different, and we should be sensitive to those people...But again-this is in NO WAY equivilent to use of the n word by white people....just like I would never use the word faggot towards anyone gay- I have never used the n word-even with having mad black friends that adress me by it,and even with having a signifigant ammount of black blood IN me-my basic complexion doesn't show it,so I don't feel it's my place to use it-even when my friends wouldn't take offense,or have even encouraged me to use it,fact is I know that there's mad black people that would take offense to me using it-beacuse of the ugliness and HISTORY of the word. And personally it could just never be a part of my vocabulary regardless. But just describing those 2 scenerios,to me they take on a completely different context, level of seriousness, and meaning.Anyway- what did eminem say in 8 mile in that battle at his job? "..maggot-so and so's gay- but you're a faggot.."-this really does sum up the way the majority of people feel about this. I mean, you could give the same arguement for the "r" word,(retarded : ) - but that doesn't make it a simply one way is right/one way is wrong thing.

As for these particular dudes,lol-again I've never heard their music-obviously I'm just talking about this issue in general..I'd like to hear the context in which they use these words.

haha !!! i guess lil b will have a thread on here next too. especially with his next album title. seems like cats nowadays try to out do each other with the shock value. i rather listen to some kool keith or gravediggers for that shock rap or whatever its labeled with guaranteed solid production. well some of kool keith production was suspect.lol
