F.U.I.F.

Post by a.D. »

(Fuck You It's Friday : )
Was working on a tape about a month & a half ago I had wanted to do all in one weekend-"the Found Weekend". It was supposed to be 8 joints, with one beat for fri, sat,& sun....I ended up w/ only 5 tracks and only got up to saturday,so I scrapped the project, the whole point was to get a whole tape done in a weekend. Anyway, here's one of them, F.U.I.F.-

fan fuckin tastic

your drums are some of the best i have heard for playing on the sp...at least that is what I think you are doing and if so mega props b/c I can't seem to make swinging drum tracks on them for the life of me. just used to the helicopter landing pads on the mp

but eya this beat is really ill, really full sounding. chop work is great and i really dig the hats

I haven't been on here since friday when I posted this (can't say I had the greatest weekend myself)-just wanted to say thanks for all the positive feed...Also gotta say though-99.99% of the time I completely program all my drum sounds/patterns,for this though I just used two bars of a break that i looped up...I did add a lot to it though-layered the snares and kicks, added an extra hat,a lot of eq,some sp "parallel compression",etc...So sorry to dissapoint on that,lol- Hopefully some of the comments on my drum work apply to my other beats as well-'cause I do spend an insane ammount of time normally trying to get each hit and the swing of everything exactly how I like it.Thanks again though, it was nice to log in after a few days and see all the good words, keeps me motivated. Peace

oh word well either way it sounds dope. I have never used a drum loop I always use one hits so I guess I assume others do as well but I am realizing more and more that cats loop breaks still...maybe I need to start lol, idk tho it just don't work for me, I usually play my drums last so I guess that's prob why
