Just get a card reader and dump your files to the PC to back them up. Delete the files, put the card back into the 404 and format. I've got a ton of mem cards, but usually only use one and wipe it fresh when I start a new beat.

Reverse the process when you want to load up an old track.

This'll sound mad ignorant,but I have no idea what a card reader is,lol. Obviously I've seen mad people talk about this stuff but I've never looked into it. Might have to do that. :oops:

ya a.D. you can get them for really cheap. the on van nostrand posted looks like it can read 4(+) cards so that's an all in one. I have a cheap SD card reader (as you prob know SD is the card the sp uses) that was like $5. It's well worth the investment.

I'd love to be as organized as some of you guys, it'll happen in time. definitely wouldn't mind having a whole card of drum kits. haha
