Hi, new here, and new to electronic music in general.
I recently bought an SP 505 used online (which the seller claimed was completely functional) and hooked up a cd player to start sampling only to discover that the signal is way too quiet. When the recording volume is all the way up, main volume is all the way up, and source volume is all the way up it is barely audible. I have confirmed that the problem is not with the source, RCA to 8th inch cable, or my headphones.
Suggestions? Potential Problems? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Re: Line-in problem
might have to open that thing up. I know its waaay out there but maybe the rec level button came off and got put back on wrong so you cant turn it all the way up, or something.
Like i said, just throwing it out there.

Edited: I'm assuming that you have mixer hooked up between your CD player and your 505, right?
