Lots of interesting beats this battle!

I was really feeling Halcyon's the most. I really liked you're arrangement and chops.

Blavatsky, Cgko, and Very had really cool stuff too.

came down to very and Halcyon for me. Very's was a little on the short side but that melody u were kicking was dope, very smoooth. Halcyon was crazy too but i thought very arranged a better groove with the chops. Peace everyone good battle

lots of good beats! for me it was between halcyon and and-o. halcyon's had good consistent head nods throughout the track and also well mixed. and-o's was on the SP-technical experimental side but kept the funk intact, good stuff.

tough call but i'll, go with and-o. his track had that turntable beat-juggle routine type feel.

very's was cool also, ran short but still funky. djmellow's need better mixing/mastering but what i do hear was still good. really tho everyone did good.

oh and nice sample pick blavatsky. peas.

I gave my vote to and-o earlier lol. His beat was like a journey, actually inspired me to mess around on my SP for a little bit! Blavatsky's beat was also crazy with all the synth sounds and stuff, really liked that.

I loved these samples and this was a really fun battle. To me it was a tie between Flop and Blacksnow. I could rhyme over Blacksnow's beat for days. reminded me of some old hi-tek or dj honda. In the end though i gave it to Flop because of his cleverness to have the beat shouting his name through out. very dope for battle!

which track had the jadakiss sample? I noticed a couple of non-battle samples in a track or two but I didn't want to be a dick about it

One of the samples was also from that illmind remix contest I think

I aint really tryin to be a dick or nothing but i just thought the point of these battles was to see how creative we can be using the same collection of sounds and how to mix/arrange using only sp's. i think i heard that illmind sound fx too. that sample and the jadakiss ( A- HA!) was in the halycon beat. dont get me wrong its a nice beat, but it defenitly used additional samples.

No tie-breaker here- Black Snow all day. But yo-what are these battles turning into?We used to stck to the single basic principle of SP ONLY. only thing software could be used for was to simply record and convert to mp3-no plug ins,no tracking out,no synths,etc....Outside illmind synth sample?Fruity loops? And yall are voting for it?Now I realize dude might now know the complete rules-or that a lot of you might not-this probably has to do with the fact that none of the heads that started these battles up are here anymore. But it's simple-strictly the samples provided, and whatever you can do with your sp. Even with the bass-only if it's in the samples provided,or with subsonic,or a combo of the 2.Yall should go back in the archives a couple years and hear the difference in the beats-not just the styles neccesarrily-but the sound-everything was raw and right out of the box- some of this glitchy shiny synthy stuff sounds like there's some definite software work going on-,even some tracking out possibly-I could be wrong- if so, I completely appologize.maybe some people have some super secret in box mastering mega efx tweaking I don't know about.that's just what I'm hearing w/ some people and have been thinking I've been hearing for a while. But shit,This board as a whole is really suffering nowadays compared to 2-3 years ago.

Well I track my stuff out into my audio interface into ableton so I can bounce it onto my soundcloud.

But due to the extra samples and the tie we have, I shall give my vote to very.
