SP 404 Card Bank Problems

Post by nnato »

so i didnt know where to post this but anyways.. so my problem is entirely located within the banks c-j. a and b are fine. when i sample into c-j and then truncate, the playback is fucked up. meaning i get a short sound followed by a long pause, then another short sound, etc. and then if i get the sample back eventually the next bank, lets say d, will only play the intermittent sounds from the previous pad. then ill turn the sp on and the entire card banks are erased. i have no idea what the problem is. i formatted the card, transcend 80x 1gb, and it is compatible because it Will work, sometimes. any help would be appreciated. sucks that i just started getting shows now too :(

it sounds like it is directly related to the memory card. if banks a and b are fine then it sounds like its an issue with the card. try a different card and see what happens. something may have gotten corrupted?

yeah i switched to a card that made the sp not turn on when inserted. so i turned the sp on without the card inserted, inserted it, formatted that shit, and then rocked an open mic. i think all is well
