As a promotion for his next instrumental album, Illmind has made available each sepperate track from a beat off it for a remix contest. actually,the first 1,000 people that buy the cd will get a bonus of all the individual tracks as well-samples,bass,drums,synths,etc...pretty dope- I'd probably cop it just for all the basses

You're supposed to upload the final product to soundcloud- the winner gets a 100 buck credit w/ nature sounds- maybe 1 or 2 other things, I'm not sure.This is def worth doing,could gain you some exposure,be a lot of fun,and win you some good prizes as well. Not to mention-even though I dig a lot of Illminds shit- the original beat isn't that dope at all- and theres MAD heads on here that could run circles around his beat w/ the sounds provided,for real. There's a drum kit, bass, 2 piano riffs, and like 3 or 4 synths,& a sound effect.

It would be ILL to see the contest bombarded by sp forums cats--theres only like 20 some submissions so far-still another month till the deadline, come on yall!! I'm about to pull an all nighter on this - might have something by tomorrow,then again I'm really gonna take my time. You never know- whoever's lucky/good enough to win this might get a shot at getting some placements in the future- and at the very least get your beats listened to by the higher ups at Nature Sounds-& they've been one of the most prolific indie/underground labels in hip hop for a few years now,their catalogue is amazing.Doubt I'll win, but I'ma try,lol, still I just wanna have some fun with it.

FUCK!! These pople didn't announce the deadline till the day OF the deadline(?),lol...didn't get mine done in time, I was gonna finish it tommorrow. Had a decent track going,and listening to all the submissions,I think I may have had a decent chance. Oh well, what will be....

Damn I wanted to get in on this too but didn't see it was so soon....like was mentioned somewhere else , the entries on there were mostly "vanilla", minimal rearrangement and processing - I wanted to see some off the wall nasty SP flips on there!

Woulda been nice!! oh well.......but they literally had a blank after "entries must be recieved by..." till what had to be the day of the deadline-the 25th- 'cause I checked on the 24th and it still didn't say. Winner's gonna be announced on the 12th. But for real- so many of us spend so much time on these battles, we should have at least had a few submissions on this.

Damn I had spent some time chopping this myself. I listened to most of those cut and paste remixes and it kinda turned me off from even wanting to mess with it but it was on my agenda today. Well, I would post my beat up....but as soon as i read it was past the deadline, I went and deleted everything off my 404...I had samples filling up like 6 banks,lol.
