I think I will sell the sp303 ... can please stay anyways?!
Moderator: TGN
well, I might trade the sp303 for a 404 as the sp would be used to trigger tracks... the op-1 is very far from being as simple as its appearance wants you to believe. the drum sampler is very good and I have four tracks I can mute/solo live.Headphones wrote:$800 but you'll be on a waiting list and I myself would rather invest in a mpc myself. But if you sell the sp303, you might regret it. I don't see what's stopping you from using both.
true, even the first batch isn't even completely delivered. They are having some kind of manufacturer problem. I think once production is up and running prices will come down as well.Headphones wrote:Not saying it wasn't, but I find it funny they took 2 years to get this ready for the public, and then by the time it was ready, it sells out, and then you have no word or idea how long you'll be waiting to buy one. I'm sure the OP-1 is great, but I wouldn't want to wait months and months just to come up with $800 bucks, just to be told I'd be joining a list of a bunch of other people in line who are ahead of me waiting to get theirs as well. It might pop up on eBay, but for twice as much if the demand is so high. Kind of like when Nintendo Wii just hit the market in the holidays, but there were so few available people just bought & sold them for way more than they paid for them.
komsat, I thought the same thing. once it arrives you will realisze how capable this thing really is. have fun with yours once it arrives and post some tunage!KOMSAT wrote:Nice track! I'm impressed with the sound quality. I preordered mine about .5 seconds after they went on sale, still waiting on my shipment though. For me it's all about SP-404 drums + effects + resampling and OP-1 synth and four-track recording. Cannot wait!
