dope I'll have to check those out. since I've been busy lately I haven't been watching too many different animes but I have been marathoning One Piece like a MOFO. Since I still have like 300 episodes to watch I've got a long time of watching ahead of me.

Some of the anime's I've finished that I really enjoyed are:

i read mangas too just not to the degree of anime... i used to read berserk, bleach, blade of the immortal, high school of the dead, shiki and a few others...

Yea I'm the same with you on mangas, niq. I like em but I don't get around to them much. I did read a lot of Berserk but didn't finish. I made a pretty cool screenprint of Guts I'll try to scan it in later for fun haha.

I liked Darker than Black too but didn't get into it enough, wouldn't mind going back to it at some time though. And never heard of Planetes or Eyeshield 21 gotta check those.

I would recommend that GunXSword anime if you like mech anime's though, it's pretty dope. Also a good oldschool series a lot of people haven't heard of (it seems) is The Ping Pong Club. That shit is pretty hilarious.

I'm the same with the TV though too. I hardly ever turn my tv on, maybe like twice a week for an hour or two tops. Otherwise I'd just rather be watching anime or movies like you haha. And we got all the great anime movies like Miyazaki's films and whatnot. I personally love Totoro and Princess Mononoke. Besides them being great movies I love choppin up the soundtracks and voices here and there to throw in beats.

Yea, I hear you. Sometimes you just gotta go by the cover or title, like when you dig for random vinyl haha.

I usually go for manga's labeled as "Seinen." They are geared towards the older crowd unlike "Shōnen," which are geared towards younger kids.

Seinen mangas just tend to have deeper plots and character development which is what i dig.

I mean Naruto and Bleach are cool and all, but I like the plot and character development more than "coolness" and action scenes.

"Slice of Life" shit usually what I look for, maybe my tastes just reflect where I am in life haha.

gantz is pretty cool too, they just released the live action adaptation but it was in select theaters here so i have no idea how it was.

berserk is the shit! and cowboy bebop is among the greats...
michiko y hatchin is a very very dope anime thats like a slice of life in some ways with plenty of action... some cats from the bebop champloo camp had a hand in that anime... i loved that one...

edit... gunsword gets thumbs up and princes monoke(sp) and naussica (my first anime in the late 80s/90s) and fist of the north star...

there was a series made out of it i think or maybe it was just a few additional movies... but that ish was live!

both Vampire hunter D movies were dope... i remember watching the first one on Cartoon network when they used to show anime flicks only on fri or saturday nights when they started in the late 90's...
the sci fi channel used to do the same in August airing movies

i first peeped A-ko v B-ko and Tenchi Muyo flicks on there... good times back then lol
