RTFM!!! Naw- man it's really simple-obviously first just run rca's to the sp from the mixer-but i'm assuming you've gotten this far- hit the record pad on the sp-adjust the volume if needed-hit the empty pad you wanna sample to, and hit record again-hit it a 3rd time to stop sampling/recording. Thats all there is to it, the sample will be assigned to the pad you chose.if you don't have the manual just google "roland sp 404 manual download" and theres a link for a downloadable one.Peace

Re: How do I sample vinyls onto my 404sx?
i'm so wary of posts like this, always assuming its somebody trolling, cause pretty much every other message board i frequent has some sort of new age troll that's somebody that really knows how to push peoples buttons and post the worst posts specifically for that forum community, but then i remember that that shit doesn't go on around here, at least i hope it doesn't........but for real, read the manual (or just follow the instructions a.d. just posted), figuring out how to sample is super easy, and sampling your turntable is no different than sampling from anything else......unless all you have been doing is loading samples off of the card, i always forget that a lot of people do that...
