the sp555 i bought last week is f#$ked. i just got around to messing with it and the thing is acting like it got water spilled in it. ever spilled water on your computer keyboard? press M and like 4 other keys are hit... pads 2 6 10 14 also trigger 1 5 9 13 and 4 8 12 16 also trigger 3 7 11 15. if you just try and hit pad 1 5 9 13 nothing happens same with 3 7 11 15. tried initializing the memory, tried sampling to those pads nothing. fixed velocity doesnt light up but when you hit roll once it lights up then hit it a second time and velocity lights up and then hit it again and they both go out. dood asked 450 i offered less we met at 350... looked it over in the parking lot and seemed fine. the unit is clean. dood was way bigger than me im 6 foot 200+ and homeboy was like 6'6 280... bummed big time. sold the 606 to get something different and the 555 popped up... shoulda gone with my gut.

What the hell kinda dude would sell a busted peice of equipment right to your face for almost full used price....... took it completely apart last night.... cellphone pics if anyone wants to see... i didnt take many but yea. i thought at first there was water damage... when i took the bottom off the board that was on top looked like it might have had residue of some kind on it. like something had been spilled on it. but the longer i looked the less it looked like damage and the more it just looked like it was made that way. the pads and pad sensors were super super super clean. i expected dirty contacts and worn pads and the were so clean it was silly. i put her back together and she worked just the same. im not sure what it could be part of my brain is saying update it it could be the os outta wack or something but the way its reacting it cant be that.

do u got the standard ac adapter for it (psb-1u i think) ? I remember my adapter died on my 606 so i tried a next adapter to see if it would work.. and the 606 would turn on but it was operating all messed up, similar to how ur describing it

more than I trust Craigslist. But you should try before you buy whenever possible. It's messed up you gave up a 606 for this though.
