Thrift stores here have the most shit records... all christian singers/bing crosby/bach/barbara streisand.. The only time you get lucky is with 45 singles occasionally you'll get a handful of cool ones

I got a speak & math, gotta get another arduino board and hook it up to the chip so I can get mental with it

the beauty thing about records and analog is the pitch shifting capabilities.

Im sure you could find something on those christian singing records especially if they are cheap.
I know they aren't 'prime cuts'... but man,... you might have to eat chuck steak sometimes and it might taste good if you put some fcking mustard on it
ya feel me!?

An independent CD & record shop in my city also specializes in obscure movies. They've got these collections of genre films (usually 12 movies for $20)- deals like that will have to yield samples.

Yesterday I picked up 2 boxes films- 1 of spaghetti westerns & 1 of blacksploitation action films. Stoked.

Been finding a lot of great vhs tapes at thrift stores lately. Latest score was a complete box set of the TV show Twin Peaks. I also have a box set of the original Star Trek movies and some of them are unopened. I know that shit will be worth something some day.

I feel like vhs add some warmth and texture to the sound of films in the same way that vinyl does for music.

awesome thread guys! praise the thrift store. i've found some pretty cool wool jackets, and a USPS shirt too! i got a little series of cassette tapes entitled "Little Chills", it was full of narrated mystery stories with sfx and everything, always fun for sampling.
