I'm having trouble importing songs into my 404. I've never had trouble importing samples before but for some reason i'm having trouble with songs. It imports half of them and then stops. All of the songs being imported are wav and are simply numbered so i'm not sure what the problem could be. Any help would be much appreciated. Respect

Make sure they are 16bit WAVs. I had some trouble once importing some songs too, but I just reconverted them and it worked fine. Same problem as you though, it would import about half the WAVs and then stop and quit on the one it didn't like.

all of songs were already at 16bit. i dropped them down to 8bit and they all imported into the 404 but they all have a hissing sound now. thanks for the tip still. do you have a solution to get rid of the hissing sound when i drop the beats down to 8bit?

8 bit is hissing because its 8 bit.. nothing you can do about it! Maybe try filtering the sound a bit.. wont remove the hiss but will make it darker and less noticeable

Just a thought.. maybe you only have enough memory to import half of them?

my cf card is 1gb and all of the beats aren't taking up all the space...i'm not sure at all what the problem could be. i start importing in bank c. i have some samples saved on banks a and b but that's the internal memory so it has nothing to do with this. its ust kinda frustrating trying to figure out why all of my beats won't import knowing they're 16-bit and they all fit on my cf card with space to spear.

How much space do you have spare?

If you use more than half of your card, then it won't import them all because importing them means they're on the card twice (as wav file and as imported file)

Import half of your songs. Take the card out and delete the original wavs. Put in the 2nd half of all your songs and import those.
