Way to sample live while using the pattern sequencer?

I want to keep sync with all my gear via midi. can I sample while the pattern sequencer is running, without stopping?

Obviously without the loop capture because I can't sync that to the pattern.

i think the only way would be to use the loop capture. I think you can sample ext. sources without sampling the pattern samples but int he loop capture. I know you cant sample while playing a pattern, i think it stops when you try to sample.

I'll email roland and tell them to give us a new OS update and to sort the looping sync issue out. It would be ideal if the play button on the looper was treated as a pad so it starts playing in sync with the sequencer. It would also solve the issue with it going out of time. But how the hell do I send an email to the 'right person' cos I bet 99.999% of roland doesn't care.

Anyone know?

might as well put that other 0.01 to that percentage, i dont think they would even read it. Maybe file a suit with the better business bureau and that might put them on their game:)

yeah man,
nobody is listening.. roland are off in fairy land making products that nobody wants with features that dont make any sense and none of the functions people expect from every other sampler on the planet.
