Im starting to lean toward the resample method. I'd love to master the sequencer anyway, but its hard for me to keep a good rhythm with the metronome going. Ive been building loops on tracks complete with little mfx manipulations and just jumping from loop to loop.

was trying the resample method with a stereo 2 bar loop and mono kick, snare & hat. for some reason the loop cut out after about a bar as i was adding my drums in. any ideas why its dropping out? the 404 should be able to handle that polyphony so i don't get it...

^^ you can only add a certain number of sounds over other sounds in resample. its in the manual, but i fink it is one mono over one stereo, or two mono over one mono. but i could be wrong. check it in the book.

pretty sure you can only resample four voices at a time.

one stereo & two mono, two stereo, four mono.

appologies if that's a lie!!

yeah but when resampling i rarely play entire parts at once - partly because I want to be able to play live by bringing in more complex layers/taking them out, partly just cos I am a bad player...

so I'm usually like:

resample - kick + snare

resample (kick+snare) + hihats

resample (kick+snare+hihats) + bass

etc

or even just leave the bass loop separate so i can turn it on/off when i want..
Can use the sequencer on quantize to do layout the song's arrangement then too
Samples.
