my pads are melting

seems the glue on the far right pads of my 505 are melting.

pad 15 and 16 are hell sticky and not restoring/rebounding very well.

pad 7 and 8 seem like they're going next.

gummy material around the pads.

i don't use the 505 pads much. have been trying to massage them as often as possible.

little upset, preferred the 505 pads over the 404 and 606, and thought the older machine indestructible.

anyone else had this problem? any ideas on how to remedy?

I believe that your 505 is a second hand one and the previous owner fiddled around with the pads before selling it because the pads are not held down with glue, the shell itself is what holds them in place as well as for some grooves within.

Somebody played a prank on you, get your money back and get a better 505.

i agree w/ illz ^^ above. money back - start again.

but another option may be to get a busted 505 for cheap / free on craigs or whatevs, and swap that pad set into yr unit.

there's a thread in the 505 section about replacing a cracked motherboard (do a search) and there are photos in there that show you what the pad set-up is supposed to be.
