Are you sampling the music you love?

Can't really sample from sumthing I've heard more than a few times. Won't listen much after that either. Of course this is no rule just an observation. Whenever I mess with something I'm close to it gets hard to find my sound. That's just me.

I was digging records before I made beats. The beats I make are just reflections of the music I hear but in Hip Hop form. If that aint love then stab me with a Bic pen.
