yeah w/ ppl downloadin off blogs it kinda hurts sales but if u build a loyal fan base ppl will buy and support still. its good to have vinyl and cds limited pressin some kind of physical product helps. plus most artist make there money from tourin and sellin merch at them showes.

licensing beats is also good too. for movies , television havent done that yet but i heard u can get decent checks from time to time. but also licensing music to indie labels where u still own the rights to our music. chasin placements on rap albums is whatever nowadays. even if they cut u a check for that beat. so what they spent buyin that beat from u they use as a tax write off and get that some of that loot back end of the year. so u get taxed for that in the end even tho u made a lil something for sellin the beat.
