i WILL enjoy, thank you very much!

yr studio looks like the final scenes from the blair witch project. whoa! :D

i was feelin' this vid - mostly from about 3.30 onward. the little cut scenes with you stressing or making the sampletrak into a UFO were hilarious too.

i dug everything....except the sweater tied loosely around yr neck. i just have a thing about that...could be my own issue.

otherwise - nice work ella! i know you were freaking out, but it sounded loose and weird and cool. i hope you had fun by the end of the night, and are planning on playing more shows. you should!

peace mans. congrats.

I would've liked to see that show. From 3:30 onwards was my favorite stuff too. I liked the cut scenes man, that was cool. Your studio is insane! Nice work Ella!

yea dude I don't think I've ever seen that much gear lying around...pretty fucking insane dungeon studio, brick walls and everything...all you need is the people under the stairs...show looked pretty cool man, only thing I can tell you is try to have a lot of fun when you are performing, enthusiasm is contagious

i got also a dehumidifier (maybe you can see it at the beginning and the final reversed part, beside the korg ms20), to put away this f°°°°°g humidity from here...

i totally agree with you.
i was really stressed and, coming from someone which also play theatre, this is surprising.
infact i was surpised myself first from this reaction; the fact to wait from 19h to 22h30 instead of 21h (like on the program) stressed me like crazy...normally i don't have this when i play theatre, and other way i made djing sometimes, so this reaction is strange...plus: we didn't eat anything...we made the sound check in front of the public (very uncool, not the public i mean)...

word I feel you...usually I like to go to a show (I do live shows as an emcee, not a producer/DJ) knowing I won't need to eat. The soundcheck thing sounds like it sucked but you just gotta approach it like you spend so much time working on your music, you owe it yourself to bang out and have a fucking blast when you perform. If you had a negative experience this time, try to learn from it but quickly block it out and schedule another show ASAP - it's a blast don't give up on it.

That's natural man! Its good you know what to improve for next time. Everyone's got horror stories of mistakes during their first few gigs:

-At my first show I completely emptied a room of about 60 people. Turns out a of techno lovers don't love mashups of Tom Waits & King Tubby.

-The mate that organised my first show at his second gig blew up a $5000 PA. Thankfully it was insured.

-Another mate at his first forgot to reduce the volume on his feedback devices going into a mixer & didn't notice he only dropped the mixer's volume. So when it came to doing another long & filtered dub echo, the volume boost nearly deafened everyone in the room...

Good on you for having a go. You did it, that's the main thing.

Really liked those cut scenes too, peering through your fingers while making a beat- HAHA!

supercool ellaguru! cool music and the video is very cool too (cutscenes - I love)

ella could you decsribe a little of your workflow? sequencer and synths used and so on? watching your other youtube vids, I am guessing you are a hardware person?!

LOVED Groovy Tymes 2 (circusstruck) , btw.

seeing that the person who filmed was static as hell (15 minutes in the same position...) i said to myself: ok, let's smile about it! so i tried to give this video a bit of ironic touch...

thanx very much man!

my workflow? i didn't knew to have any :D

ok, seriously, it changes from time to time.
for example, the track "groovy tymes 2" it's an almost live session made with st224+juno 106 (this synth is hidden in the video, damn)+bass guitar all recorded, organized, mastered in ableton live. i still keep with me an digital recorder and 2 analog recoders (the last 2 from the '90!), but now i mostly record external sounds on pc; sometimes, due to the fact that i'm workin out from the studio in another place from my home it happens that i compose/record interely with my pc and a nanokey (well hidden from my director at work! :D ) and then, at late night after saying goodnight to my 2 kids i came to the Blair Withc Studio to remanipulate the result or to add hardware sounds (but sometimes it's yet ok like this...and this is surprising...)
