Pitch function trick

Post by xtal »

Hi guys!
maybe everybody knows this trick to make the pitch function work as it should...and I was the only one who didn't get it..
I tried on the internal sounds and on samples and it works!
just sample the high pitch and then do the pitch function going from C1 to C, going down, not up.
Use the high algorithm to preserve a better definition on the high frequencies that tend to glitch or blur...
I tried and.. BAM! The samples were OK , no glitch or distortion!
ok...very little glitches and only in some "extreme" samples, but I got good basses, pads, pianos,drums...
on electronic basses using the low algo it sounds better on the low end, while using the hi algo gets better "resonance sounds".

ciao man!
once i tried the internal samples too, and it worked very cool.
the trouble is with the other samples (not all samples, but...).
now i'll try the c1>c trick to see what happens...

no doubt the pitch function on the 505 is good

it sounds different with all types of sounds and combinations with how you choose to pitch it. i like the way it pitches low ends though
