I have done a couple of these now this one was the best by far. I really felt everything I heard. Hot shit from everyone. Keep it up gents. Had to give it dollarllama d. He took that dark shit and made it feel eazy breezy west coast stylee. Props.

there was alot of solid joints in this battle but 4 or 5 really caught my ear lllll's beat was nasty and johnny canuck beat had the crazy chops. limpid had the grimey lo fi joint i like. dj just jeff i like the swing on them drums ,and use of the sample. teewok had the microwave heatrock. gis _ sweden ur beat was raw as well could hear killarmy on that beat easy. tiger mask genius how u used the efx definitely some soundtrack shit.shire l'black nice track only thing wish u boosted them drums up. flop i liked ur approach to the sample nice chops. endorshores i like how u took us through levels as ur beat was buildin up and u was freakin them efx lovely. felix the kat ur beat was ill as well crazy time signature on the drums and flippin the drumrolls was dope .if i got chose 1 beat i thought johnny canuck edged out lllll by a lil bit. super close tho!!! sorry for the long ass commentary yall.

Gave it to Dibs, beat was just raw. Crazy battle though, it's nice having so many entries, it was a fun experience for a first attempt.

IIIII got my vote this week. i'd like to get in on the next one. been doing the stonesthrow battles for years now, but it's not really enjoyable when there are 100 entries to sift through...

Here is the crit, Great job everyone! can we all say what equipment that we used for this, inquiring minds want to know.

Teewok: Nice switch ups and changing through out.
Limpid: Good lo fi crunchy tune
Felix: Enjoyed the drums, reminds me of Shadow and like the bass, how did you do that?
IIIII: Definitely sounds different that everyones which is a good thing. Do you have sounds going backwards? very cool
Flop: Nice and chilled out. I like the vid and the switch up at the end.
Gis: Very nice east coast hip hop style. I could see this in a skate video. How did you make those synth sounds?
Shire: Nice melody
Tigermask: Crazy. Sounds like a haunted house. Big ups for doing your own thing.
Endor: Like the switchups and fx
Dollar: Like the live mashing of fx and the shuffle beat.
Johnny: Nice and bouncy track. Like the fx

I gotta go with Gis
A.K.A. "The Tentacle Monster"

Teewok – Soft beat. I like the part just before the drums when the piano is reversed. A beat in 1h - a good one!
_limpid – Dreamy lo-fo. I like that “main sample”
Felix Tha Cat – This beat has a nice special swing. Good use of stereo effects. Guitar to the right and string to the left. The sudden ending feels right.
IIIII – I like the strings on reverb in the background. Very enjoyable very beat - again.
Flop – Agree with Dj_just_jeff. Nice and chilled out. Extra points for the voice at 00:50.
TIGERMASK – Nice noise. Cool change at 02:26. Stringent.
shire l'black – A little short but polished.
EndorShores – Cool intro. Like the piano.
DJ_Just_Jeff – love when the drums comes in. Soft tune. Using a vice sample adds some life.
dollarllama d – Hard to dislike……….
Johnny Canuck – Good use of the rolls! The strings are great.

My self then, gis_sweden – This time I joined the hip-hop heads… Used my SP-404. Dj_just_jeff asked about my “synth sounds”. Hmmm I use MFX 23 or 24 to get a short sample. Then pitch and reverb are useful. A tip is use two identical samples. Set one on reverse and “glue” them together. Was this useful? Thanks for the vote :D

My vote goes to Felix Tha Cat
