Tascam 488 (Mk I) 8-Track Recorders

Post by boombapp28 »

Anyone on the forums still use one of these or the Mk II? I copped one from one of my peoples for $15. Looks like the heads need a thorough cleaning. I also stocked up on a bunch of Maxell XL-II 90 min cassettes, some TDK SA 90s, a few TDK CD-Power 90s, and some TDK SA-X 90s..I've read that 60 min cassettes are the way to go but people who use 90 min type II's don't have any issues. Will I be good to go with all these 90 min cassettes?
